A few rules and proceedures.

My goal for the year is that your child will be a successful and happy student. In my class I use preventive and supportive management discipline. The system includes rules, rewards, and consequences for classroom behavior. I will assume the best about all of my students. I assume they want to learn good behavior and the content we will be focusing on. I include the students in creating our classroom rules so they feel their voice is important and they will be responsible for their actions and behavior. Although I do include the students in making the rules, I generally have basic rules that will need to be followed.

1.     Follow directions the first time given

2.    Keep hands, feet, and all objects to yourself

3.    Raise your hand and use appropriate inside voice

4.    Show Respect (this is something we will be focusing on throughout the year. The students are expected to respect me, their peers, and property)
